Interactive Strategist/Client Manager

Are you an experienced online marketer who has experience developing and managing email, social media, fundraising and/or advocacy campaigns – AND you know how to keep clients happy? Ready for a change and more challenges? Then we want you!

You’ll feel great about your work because, every day, you’ll be championing the cause for nonprofit organizations who are working to make a difference in the world. You’ll join a smart, innovative team of marketing strategists, creatives, technologists and online marketers to help RED clients increase their online visibility, engagement and revenue.

You’ll create online fundraising/advocacy/promotion plans with specific benchmarks and deliverables, including e-mail campaigns, fundraising, membership, advocacy and advertising campaigns, microsites and more. And you’ll work in a team to implement, track and report on the campaigns.

You’ll develop and write email and website copy that will be used to promote our clients online and oversee copywriters and designers on other projects. You’ll develop testing strategies and work with clients to manage their technology platforms (ECRM and CMS).

Skills
You are a detailed, hands-on direct marketer who can keep multiple campaigns on track to meet measurable goals for our clients. You’re a great project manager who has managed online campaigns or Web builds and knows a thing or two about usability, online advocacy and the mechanics of a Web site. You’ve used E-CRM and CMS systems, though you’re not a developer or designer. You’re a creative thinker, with great writing skills and design oversight. You love analytics and can pull numbers and data to crunch a spreadsheet report for a client report. And you’re great with client communication.

Requires 3+ years of Web marketing/direct response/fundraising/membership experience. MS Office proficient.

Search Engine Optimization Manager

RedEngine Digital is looking for an experienced search engine optimization (SEO) specialist to help our clients improve their website visibility. You have the experience to identify technical SEO obstacles as well as develop on- and off-page optimization elements for new and existing web sites.

If you can explain the difference between 301 and 302 redirects, know when to use rel=nofollow and when to use robots.txt, have a favorite link-building secret, and can build client buy-in by explaining SEO to them in easy-to-understand terms, then we want to talk to you about coming to work for RED.

You’ll be responsible for managing SEO projects in a client-facing role and providing high-level strategy. You’ll work closely with web developers to provide guidance on building search engine friendly websites, write copy that’s great for search engines as well as users, and help great cause-driven organizations raise more money for their work.

Duties:

  • Serve as project manager and act as main point of contact for SEO campaigns
  • Develop and communicate SEO strategy and project plans
  • Analyze, identify and communicate on-page and off-page opportunities for increasing search engine visibility
  • Conduct keyword research, review code and designs, write SEO friendly copy, make IA recommendations, execute link-building campaigns
  • Write recommendations and produce regular client reports documenting progress
  • Work closely with technical staff to communicate goals and ensure projects stay on track
  • Evaluate client prospects’ websites in order to assist in business development and proposal writing

This position requires:

  • Proven success in raising website visibility in search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Understanding of website analytics programs
  • Familiarity with common SEO tools
  • Creativity and problem solving skills
  • A marketing and conversion-focused mindset
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Knowledge of HTML and coding implications*, user experience, information architecture

  • Requires 5+ years of relevant experience working on websites and 2+ years on hands-on SEO experience

*Although this isn’t a pure technical (web development) position, the position does require a solid understanding of how websites work and the implications of certain coding approaches to spiderability.

Social Media Manager

RedEngine Digital is looking for a Social Media Manager to lead social media strategy and campaigns for RED clients. This position will be responsible for leading social media campaigns and managing client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive and integrated social media marketing strategies and campaigns for large not-for-profit and business brands
  • For some clients, manage day-to-day messaging and outreach via relevant social media platforms
  • Stay on top of the latest social media trends and translate these into opportunities that further client goals
  • Ensure social media is integrated into larger marketing strategies; work within internal and client-driven teams to assess opportunities and pitfalls of different marketing approaches
  • Devise and execute blogger outreach campaigns
  • Measure and report on impacts of social media efforts
  • Monitor comments and discussions; respond to the community, as appropriate
  • Work closely with clients on messaging priorities, pitching new concepts and ideas, providing internal education and training

The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of social networking dynamics; how social media can (and can’t) be leveraged for advocacy, fundraising, and community building; and how new media integrates into the overall marketing mix. Candidates must be creative, willing to experiment, able to communicate clearly and able to work independently.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience serving clients in an agency setting
  • 3-plus years of experience in online marketing
  • Strong understanding of social media principles, tactics and platforms
  • Knowledge of HTML preferred
  • Basic understanding of web analytics a plus

New Media Intern

RED is seeking a new media intern to assist with online marketing campaigns to help clients increase visibility and grow revenue and engagement. The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with, and learn from, experienced online marketing professionals. Intern projects will vary from week to week, but will focus on the use of social media tools (such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and You Tube) to maximize client visibility, increase website traffic, gain supporters and raise donations. A successful candidate is passionate about online marketing and has an in-depth knowledge of social media platforms and an active interest in digital marketing. We’re looking for a team player with motivation, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Strong written communication skills a must, with the ability to write for a variety of audiences and mediums. Experience producing content for social networks and/or blogs a plus. Familiarity with WYSIWYG web content editing, and basic HTML skills a plus.

Full-time or part-time paid internship. The start and end dates and number of hours per week are flexible and can be adjusted based on intern’s school needs. Compensation depends on experience and education.
